Aromatic Foot Powder

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
8 drops essential oil of your choice
1/2 cup arrowroot (or an equal part blend of baking soda, cornstarch and clay)

Combine the arrowroot and essential oil, crushing the small clumps of oil between your fingers to evenly distribute them. This is made only with pure essential oils, no base oil is added. Be sure to wash you hands after handling pure essential oils to avoid any contact with the eyes or delicate mucous membranes.
Find an airtight container, preferably with a closable shaker top (like a baby powder bottle. Pry off the top, add the powder, then replace the top. Aromatic foot powder is nice sprinkled in socks, tennis shoes, and boots to keep the feet dry and cozy.
Any of the foot bath recipe blends or; cypress (especially useful for sweaty feet), pine, juniper, Ylang Ylang, grapefruit, rosewood, and frankincense are all suitable.

  3 drops Chamomile Roman
  3 drops Peppermint Triple Distilled

Add oils to 2 gallons of warm water and mix well. This blend is great for hot, weary feet that have been on the move all day. The peppermint cools and the lavender and chamomile soothe both feet and spirit.

Foot Spa

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  7 cups water
  2 drops Lavender French
2 tbsp Vitamin A.D.E. Lotion (unscented)
  1/2 cup sugar
  2 cups milk

This will soften your feet until you can't stop touching them!
Before getting started with the spa treatment, arrange on the floor, in front of a comfortable chair, a towel big enough to fit a large bowl on. Have an extra towel and a good book ready. In a large saucepan, heat the milk and water until it is as hot as you can stand. While it's heating, mix your sugar and lotion until all the sugar is coated and the mixture is slightly soupy. When the milk/water mix is ready, put it in a bowl large enough to fit both feet in. Mix in essential oil well. Set the empty bowl down on the towel, and then pour the milk/water mixture in. Place the sugar mix near by and place your feet in the milky mix. Soak for about 10 minutes while reading a chapter from your book. After soaking, remove your feet and scoop some of the sugar mix. Use your fingers to scrub the sugar mix onto feet bottoms, tops, and between the toes. Scrub until you feel you have exfoliated enough well. Place feet back in the milk/water mixture and rinse well. When your feet are completely devoid of any sugar, dry them with the extra towel. Slather your toes with some moisture-rich lotion and sock them until you're ready to show them off. Some new pink nail polish and summer sandals work well with this recipe!

Golden Foot Spa

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
1/2 cup Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  2 cups Bath Salt (unscented)
  1 drop Lemon Organic
  1/2 gallon whole milk
  1 handful dried calendula flowers
  1 bag marbles

Golden Foot Spa contains everything you need to give yourself a pedicure and get those tootsies in shape for summer! Soften your skin naturally with fresh milk and use Dead Sea Salts to slough dead skin and invigorate. Lemon awakens your senses and provides aromatherapy benefits to boot! Warm the milk over a low flame in a large soup pot. Do not microwave and be sure not to scald the milk. It should be sufficiently warm in about 15 minutes. Toss in the calendula petals (to make the milk golden in color!) and stir to wet them. While the milk is warming, prepare the salt scrub. (The extremely busy woman can dispense with warming the milk and the calendula. Just let the milk come to room temperature and use it that way. It won't be warm or "golden," but it will still make a good foot soak!). Make the salt scrub by combining the Dead Sea Salts and almond oil in a large plastic bowl. Stir well. Add essential oil and stir again. Remove the milk from heat. Pour it into a large dish pan or any plastic container large enough for both of your feet.

Pour in the marbles. If you're not doing this treatment in the bathroom (which is the best place;
I've done it in front of the boob tube in the family room while watching Oprah), spread a large beach towel so that when the salt flies a bit during scrubbing, it lands on the towel and not in your carpet. If you're in the tub, sit in it dry and put the container of warm calendula milk in a position where it's comfortable to dunk your feet in and exercise your toes by picking up the marbles. Soak to soften the skin for 10 minutes. Scoop up a handful of the lemon scented Dead Sea Salts/almond oil mixture and begin scrubbing your lower legs and feet. If possible, do the scrubbing over the milk so any unused salt falls into it. This feels so good that if you have the space (the tub is best), you can scrub your knees and elbows and anything else dry! Dunk your feet back into the milk mixture and rinse everything you scrubbed, including legs, etc. Soak for 5 more minutes. This second soak further softens skin (now that the dead layers have been removed!), plus gives your feet the added benefit of the melted Dead Sea Salt. If you made a mess in the tub, that's OK because now you can just bathe it away. (If you made a mess in your living room, well, you should have foreseen that so just get out the vacuum cleaner!) Pat your skin dry and apply a creamy foot cream. If you have time, file your nails, push back your cuticles and use a nail brush to thoroughly clean them. If you decide to apply polish, remember to remove the cream from your nails first so the polish adheres better. Most any product designed as a facial toner can do this adequately, or you can use witch hazel.

  4 drops Lavender French
  4 drops Tea Tree
  2 drops Sandalwood Indian

Add oils to 2 gallons warm water and mix well. This combination of pure essential oils works wonders for people

plagued with chronic athlete's foot problems. Tea tree is anti-fungal, as is lavender. The sandalwood conditions, softens and soothes sore, cracked feet and toes. Its antiseptic and soothing properties help keep feet safe from secondary problems that can arise from the open cracked skin. Patchouli could be substituted for the sandalwood as a skin regenerator. Patchouli also has fungicidal properties.

Click on the ingredients for more information.
  6 drops Orange Sweet
  1 drop Ginger
1/4 cup Sweet Almond Carrier Oil

To use, sit comfortably in the tub or over a pan of water and/or a large towel to catch the sugar scrub as it is applied. The freshness of this product is extended if it is packaged in an airtight glass container.

Lemon Foot Mask

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  1 drop Lemon Organic
  1 cup whole milk
  1 egg
  1/2 cup lemon juice
  1 tablespoon vodka (optional)

This is designed for the toes, toe nails and soles of the feet. Combine all ingredients in a blend and blend until well combined. Pour the mixture into a bowl large enough to soak your feet in. A large plastic food storage container works well. To use, soak your clean feet in the mixture for about 15 minutes. Use your toes and feet to massage your toes and feet with the mask. If it's convenient and comfortable, use can hold your feet up long enough for the mixture to dry a bit. Then soak again. Afterward, rinse feet well with warm water and give yourself a light foot massage with any kind of massage oil you have on hand. Enjoy your pampered feet!

Peppermint Foot Flip

   Ingredients:
Click on the ingredients for more information.
  4 drops Lemon
  8 teaspoons milk
  4 tablespoons runny honey
1/2 cup Sweet Almond Carrier Oil
  2 1/2 cups sugar
2 peppermint candy cane sticks (regular size)

The sweet smell of honey, the spiciness of lemon and the kick of peppermint leave your feet so soft and so smooth. It's also refreshing and invigorating.

Place the candy canes in a plastic bag and seal. Using a hammer or other heavy utensil, smash the candy into small pieces -- each about the size of a large grain of salt. Pour most of the crushed candy into a large bowl, leaving a little bit behind for you to taste and enjoy. Add the sugar and olive oil and stir well to combine. Add the milk and stir again. Finally, add the honey and lemon essential oil and stir again to mix. You should have a grainy paste. To use, sit in a tub or shower, or over a large bowl, and scoop the scrub using your palms. Begin massaging your feet in circular motions to exfoliate and cleanse. Don't forget to scrub the heels, between the toes and even up around your ankles. (Skip over broken skin.) This mixture is oily and so you will have to be especially careful that you do not slip in the tub! After you're finished, you can cleanse with soap or bath gel as usual if you'd like to remove some of the excess oil from your feet ... which should feel polished and luxuriant after your treatment! Follow with an intense moisturizer and wear socks overnight to maximize the effect. You can make this product ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. It should last a few weeks if fresh ingredients are used and it is kept in an airtight container.
