The most common extraction methods are:

Absolute:

This is an Absolute Oil. Many times distillation of a plant by steam method does not extract as much natural oil from the plant, or in some cases, breaks down the precious natural oil in delicate flowers. The solvent extraction method is often used in these cases. As a rule, absolutes are more concentrated than a similar essential oil. Therefore, an absolute goes much further than the essential oil counterpart. Silky Scents ™ Provides you the highest grade of Absolute Oils.

Organic:

This oil is Organic. This type of Organic Oil is usually farmed organically but may not be certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Chemicals such as pesticides, fungicides and fertilizers are not used. Instead the products are cultivated using traditional farming methods. Soil fertility is built; natural systems are worked with, not against; there is minimal, if any damage to the environment, and most importantly, Mother Nature is being respected.

Wild Crafted:

Wild Crafted Oils are usually organic but not certified, normally because there is no certifying agency in the area where it is grown. Wild crafted oils are grown wild, without the use of fertilizers or pesticides - grown naturally in areas where the plants are native to the region. Not commercially.
